SNDH was first realised by Jochen Knaus (aka BDC) of German demo group Aura. In late 1998 grazey/PHF joined BDC to co-maintain the archive. grazey/PHF began to convert all historic music rips into the SNDH format. From "Grazey's Music Hack #20" all new rips were complied in the SNDH format.

Around 2003 evil/DHS came on board and created the online site and database you are viewing today.

Recently ben/OVR has joined the team, providing some really useful tools which assist the SNDH process.
